The 2025 Corryton Burge Eden Valley Riesling is a shining example of the region’s ability to deliver purity and finesse, even in a challenging vintage. Aromas of lime blossom, green apple and citrus zest leap from the glass, underpinned by delicate floral notes. The palate is crisp and vibrant, showing layers of lemon, grapefruit and crunchy acidity, balanced by a fine mineral line. Thanks to Eden Valley’s cool nights and early harvest, this Riesling retains beautiful freshness and clarity. A perfect match for fresh oysters, Thai salads or as a refreshing aperitif on a warm day. VINTAGE SUMMARY
The 2025 Eden Valley vintage was among the earliest on record, following a second consecutive year of drought and below-average rainfall. Early budburst and spring frosts impacted yields, which were highly variable—many vineyards harvested well below average. However, quality is outstanding. Riesling, in particular, benefitted from the region’s hallmark diurnal temperature shifts, retaining excellent natural acidity, freshness and lifted aromatics. Despite the warm, dry season, Eden Valley has produced beautifully expressive Rieslings that capture the purity and finesse of the region.
